Apple Sign In Privacy & Data Usage

Complete transparency about how GigSchedule uses Apple Sign In data

Last Updated: November 10, 2025

📋 Overview

GigSchedule offers Apple Sign In as a convenient and secure way to create your account. Apple Sign In is completely optional - you can also sign up with email and password or Google.

We respect Apple's privacy-first approach and only request the minimum data necessary to create and manage your account.

🔍 What Data We Access

Specific Data Requested:

  • Name
Your first and last name to personalize your account
  • Email
Your email address for account creation and communication
  • User ID
Apple's unique identifier to link your Apple ID to your GigSchedule account

That's it. Literally.

Unlike traditional sign-ups that ask for your phone number, birthday, address, and more - Apple Sign In only shares what's necessary to create your account.

🎭 Hide My Email:

If you choose to "Hide My Email" when signing in with Apple, we'll receive a private relay email address instead of your real email. This works perfectly with GigSchedule - we'll use that relay address for all communications.

What we CANNOT and DO NOT access:

  • Your Apple ID password
  • Your iCloud data, photos, or files
  • Your Apple Calendar or Reminders
  • Your contacts or phone numbers
  • Your location or device information
  • Any other Apple services or personal data

Why We Need This Information

1. Account Creation

Your email is used as your unique account identifier. Your name personalizes your dashboard and appears on client communications.

2. Future Sign-Ins

Apple's User ID links your Apple account to your GigSchedule account, allowing you to sign in securely with one tap in the future.

3. Important Communications

Your email address allows us to send you account notifications, booking updates, and important service announcements.

⚙️ How We Use Your Information

We use your Apple Sign In data ONLY to:

  1. Create and maintain your GigSchedule account
  2. Authenticate you when you sign in
  3. Personalize your dashboard with your name
  4. Send you booking confirmations and notifications (if enabled)
  5. Communicate important account updates

What We DO NOT Do:

  • Never sell or share your Apple Sign In data with third parties
  • Never use it for advertising or marketing outside our service
  • Never contact you with spam or unsolicited messages
  • Never link your Apple ID to other services without permission
  • Never access any other Apple services or data

🔐 Data Storage & Security

What We Store:

  • Your name: Stored in our database to personalize your account
  • Your email: Stored for account identification and communication
  • Apple User ID: Encrypted and stored to link your Apple account

Security Measures:

  • All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
  • Apple User IDs stored with industry-standard encryption

  • Regular security audits and monitoring
  • Access logs maintained for security purposes

Data Retention:

Your Apple Sign In data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data including your Apple User ID is permanently deleted within 30 days.
